This Christmas, forget all about Santa and snow and take a dip in the unforgettable waters of MAXELL AQUA PARK SHINAGAWA.

Opened in the summer of 2015, this conceptual aquarium is also an all-in-one entertainment centre designed to excite your senses and then some. Here, you will find an estimated 350 types of marine creatures and see more than 20,000 of them housed in the 11 themed zones within the park.  An attraction unlike any other, this is where marine creature meet lights, music and state-of-the-art performance techniques so visitors are drawn into an unthinkable new world. Quickly accessible from central Tokyo and conveniently located on the premises of Shinagawa Prince Hotel, the aquarium is also a short 14 minutes from Haneda Airport, making it a highly convenient spot even for transit passengers.

This holiday season, Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa will be dishing out the third edition of its highly reviewed Star Aquarium event. The limited-time only event held from 10 November to 25 December 25 this year will feature an array of special activities made to delight both the young and old, and is guaranteed to bedazzle even the most hard to please.

All throughout the aquarium, projection mapping and artwork with ‘star’ motifs will be used to create a surreal, starry world. Combined with dolphin performances and fused with the exhibitions, the entire space will be transformed into a sparkly “Sea of the Starry Sky”, welcoming visitors to snap Instagrammable photos and videos. Projectors in all areas have also been renewed and the worldview developed will be more dynamic to create an interactive and immersive zone for all who visit.

Beside being blown away by the detailed (and pretty) illuminations, another highlight of this special event is the dolphin shows. The Bright Christmas Party, which takes place three times in the evening, will showcase the aquarium’s frisky dolphins, taking the stage to dance and jump in a star-filled sea surrounded by state-of-the-art projections, surround sound music, stunning water curtains and even snow machines! With a capacity of 2,000 people, the circular venue where the dolphin show is conducted offers visitors a 360-degree view of the dynamic show, so you never miss out on any of the grand action.

Step into a completely different world this festive season with a trip to Star Aquarium @ Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa, where the word dazzle will take on a whole new meaning amidst the flurry of captivating LED lights, spectacular shows and amazing underwater creatures. Be it for a date or a day out with the kids, this is an ethereal experience you don’t want to miss.
